HOSA...

Is a state and national Career and Technical Student Organization wich supplements and complements the health science education curriculum. HOSA provides students- in secondary, post-secondary, and middle school programs with opportunities to develop leadership, career, and personal skills needed by healthcare providers.

Our goal is to encourage all health occupations instructors and students to join and be actively involved in the HSE-HOSA Partnership.

Facts about HOSA

HOSA is most effective when integrated into the health occupations classroom in such a manner that is difficult to differentiate between classroom and chapter activities.
HOSA helps develop the whole person through the diverse competitive events programs and leadership activities.
The rapidly changing health care system needs workers who are skilled, people-oriented, and capable of accepting leadership as a member of a team.
National HOSA currently has over 70,000 members with 6,700 in Florida alone.
HOSA provides several unique tools to develop a highly skilled health care professional.
