The book club is open to all students who are interested in reading and discussing various books. Visit the Media Center to join or to find out future meeting dates.

Our next meeting will be held on January 13th during 5th period. Please bring the novel, Compound, with you and be ready for some dicussion over the book. Another fantastic lunch will be provided. Looking forward to seeing you.

Fifteen year old Eli, locked inside a radiation-proof compound built by his father to keep them safe following a nuclear attack, begins to question his future, as well as his father's grip on reality as the family's situation steadily disintegrates over the course of six years.

Upcoming Event

An interesting opportunity that will take place in just a couple of weeks is that Alan Lawrence Sitomer, the author of Homeboyz, will be speaking about his novel and answering questions from an audience of approximately 700 students from all over Broward. The first seven students from the book club to complete the novel will be able to take a trip to Fort Lauderdale on December 14th, 2010 to meet the author!
