World Events
World Events is a combination of two different subjects (Current Events and Theme), each played with the same game format (multiple choice answers). In Current Events, players answer questions about major events that have occurred internationally in the past year. Students wager a point value based on a topic. Wrong answers lose the number of points wagered. Each player has two abstentions that may be used out of the ten question each round. The second subject is a Theme that is selected by a committee of teachers for the next school year. The rules of play are the same as for the Current Events round. For the 2003-4 School Year the Theme is The 1950s
