Coral Springs High School Jrotc male Color Guard won 3rd place out 19 units in the County JROTC Color Guard Meet at CSHS.

Duties of the Color Guard include performances at school and community events. For example, the Color Guard can be called upon to 'post colors,' or present flags, at anything from weekly football games to a Miami Heat game at the American Airlines Arena.

While the Color Guard's size dictates its ability to perform, the team is not for everyone. Only cadets enrolled in the JROTC program can be on the team. After that, dedication, commitment, and time decide who will be able to serve and who will not.

The most basic of Color Guard units consists of four individuals broken down into two areas of presentation: flags and rifles. The inner most cadets carry the flags of the United States and Florida, and are accompanied by two riflemen, each a guard of the flag beside them.

Color Guard regularly represents Coral Springs at Drill Meets, which are JROTC competitions. Common competitions in which it competes are those of the high schools and county meets.
