• Philosophy of Colt Basketball Club:
    To enhance both boys and girls Basketball Programs at Coral Springs High School through joint concession stand operations in order to provide the best possible experience for the student-athlete, coaching staff, and parents.
  • Goals of Colt Basketball Club:
    1. Cooperative Concessions (Boys and Girls Teams)
    2. Fundraising Efforts
    3. Team Socials Organizers (Ex: “Team Meal”)
    4. Create a lasting legacy, post-graduation, for the Student-Athlete, Basketball Program, and Community.
    5. Assist Basketball Program and Athletic Department in providing funds for uniforms, facilities, and team functions.
  • Operational Procedures:
    The Colt Basketball Club is an extension of the basketball programs at Coral Springs High School. Its philosophy, goals, and operational procedures are fully under the provisional care and monitoring of the Head Coaches of both boys and girls basketball.
    1. Role of Coaching Staff in CBC:
      The role of the coaching staff in the CBC is to be, but not limited to the following:
      1. Oversee all operations and procedures for CBC.
      2. Appoint CBC coordinator and ensure a positive relationship.
      3. Review and update goals and procedures.
      4. Direct all funds for use of both basketball programs.
      5. Design fundraising opportunities in conjunction with CBC.
      6. Communicate updates to parents about happenings and opportunities to assist CBC.
      7. Encourage inclusion to CBC for all CSHS basketball players’ families.
      8. Advertise and update CBC on Colt Basketball Home Page.
      9. Communicate with CBC coordinator about needs for concessions.
      10. Promote CSHS Basketball programs along with CBC to local media.
    2. Role of Colt Basketball Club Coordinator:
      The role of the CBC coordinator is, but not limited to the following:
      1. Maintain concessions for both boys and girls home games.
      2. Maintain concessions for any tournament, or fundraiser that the basketball program is hosting.
      3. Establish a “Team Concessions Coordinator” for each team [boys & girls JV, boys & girls Varsity].
      4. Work with and guide Team Concessions Coordinator to establish schedule of parents to work concessions for home games.
      5. Buy, or facilitate through Team Coordinator, the supplies needed for concession operation.
      6. Work with parents to coordinate “team FUNctions”. [Ex: Team pre-game meal, end of season party
      7. Promote CBC and Colts Basketball to all players’ parents/families.
      8. Be responsible for all funds collected through concessions and provide financial report upon request and at end of season meeting.
      9. Provide coaching staff funds to use towards Colts Basketball at Head Coaches discretion.
      10. Maintain a positive working relationship with coaching staff, parents, athletic department, and school administration.
    3. Role of Colt Basketball Club “Member”:
      1. CBC is available to ANYONE who wants to donate their time and efforts in order to provide concessions support staff for boys and girls basketball games.
      2. CBC “Members” are parents of players on official rosters for boys and girls basketball teams at Coral Springs High School.
      3. A CBC member may donate funds to the CBC in their name or their business’ name.
      4. A parent of a player can contact CBC coordinator, Colts Basketball coaching staff, and or team concessions coordinator in order to find out ways to help concessions for both basketball programs at Coral Springs High.
